Two baritones for a guy who can’t live with less: James Hill, who makes a whole lotta music on bari. You might not recognize it just by listening, however, because he uses two distinctive and very different re-entrant tunings, neither of which is standard linear baritone (DGBE from low to high). Changing a single instrument between the two tunings would be insanity-producing, but as a side benefit provided two opportunities to play with colorful finishes!

Both have Swiss spruce tops, excellent for clarity and projection. The back and sides on Nikita (so subtle, with that “desert sunset” sunburst top😬) are East Indian rosewood, while the dark and moody Merlin has wildly magical Oregon myrtle.
